Hart Rifle Barrels, Inc. was established in 1953. Our quest was to produce a better rifle barrel than the factory barrels available at that time, by handcrafting high quality stainless steel into highly competitive rifle barrels.
We are proud to say we are now a 4th generation business that strives to make the best product on the market. Our custom barrels are still handcrafted one at a time, to customer's specifications. Although some of the methods and machines have been replaced by CNC lathes and computers, our commitment to extreme rifle accuracy and quality remains the
same.
Custom rifles bearing HART barrels are widely used in benchrest, silhouette, Olympic events, high-power, small-bore, military shooting events, as well as hunting. Our barrels hold several World Shooting Records in the various shooting disciplines. Our performance in the shooting sports is unparalleled by any other barrel maker.
Hart Rifle Barrels are produced with only the highest grade of stainless steel. We only make one grade of barrel. We do not sell a second best! Our barrels are button rifled with six grooves. All barrels are made to the customer's specifications as to caliber, twist, and contour. Each barrel is contoured on a CNC lathe, then hand lapped to ensure the best possible interior finish. Every barrel leaving our shop is individually inspected several times to make sure it meets our high quality standards
Hart Rifles Barrels, Inc. guarantees all barrels to have a groove dimension tolerance of +.0005" (for example: .243 caliber can range from .2430 to .2435). Considerable testing has proven that any barrel within this tolerance will shoot as well as another. We further guarantee that the groove will not vary more than .0001 from breech to muzzle. Every barrel is measured with an air gage and examined with a borescope to insure that there are no tool marks or other defects which we feel would affect accuracy.
The barrel is only one factor in an accurate rifle, therefore we cannot guarantee any degree of accuracy. The receiver, stock, scope, type of powder, and bullets all play an important role in the accuracy of your rifle. If you feel you have a problem with any barrel, you may send it to us for an inspection. If the inspection shows we are at fault, the barrel will be replaced FREE of charge. Otherwise barrel will be returned at the customer's expense.
